This collection of sterling silver unfinished chains, without clasps, is for making your own necklaces. This is sold by the foot in one continuous strand so if you buy 2 feet for example, you would get 24 inches of chain without any clasps on the ends. If you need help making your own necklace or anything else, reach out... we are happy to help! Maker tip: be sure to grab at least 2 feet if you plan to make a necklace. *NOTE, UNFINISHED CHAINS ARE FINAL SALE AND CANNOT BE RETURNED. 

Our Alexis cable chain is rectangular links about 2mm x 5mm in size. The flattened links catch the light, it's beautiful for chokers, necklaces or bracelets. Also available in gold filled and rose gold filled. 

Our sequin Luna has discs that measure 4mm in size. This is perfect for chokers, necklaces and lariats. Even alone, its a perfect, classy statement piece. Also available in gold and rose gold filled.

Molly is our sunburst chain wih diamond cut oval links about 6mm x 3mm. This is great for chokers, necklaces and lariats. Its a stunner. Also available in gold filled.

Our tiny curb chain is Millie. It's about 1.3mm in size and classic as they come; it's tiny yet sturdy. Also available in gold filled.

Melanie is our sequin chain with a high end look. It's one of our most popular chains as it's versatile yet subtly fancy. Also available in gold filled and rose gold filled.

Michelle is our beaded chain with tiny balls that are 2mm in size and spaced at 15mm apart. The beads take any simple look up a notch. Also available in gold filled and rose gold filled. To finish this chain, use our 26ga Britton wire to make a jump ring, or our Jade end caps. Note, a standard jump ring will not fit thru the tiny curb chain.

Maker Tips

First, how many necklaces are you making? You need at least 2 feet for one necklace. Unfinished chain is sold in 12 inch lengths (1 foot), as one continuous strand. For cable chains that allow jump rings on each end, see tip 1 below. For curb, box, or tiny cable chain that is too small for jump rings, see tip 2 below.

Tip 1. Select the clasp, jump rings, and pliers from our supplies section if needed. Use wire cutters to cut the chain to your desired length. Next, connect a jump ring to one end of the chain by twisting it open and closed with pliers. Lastly, connect a clasp to the other end of the chain with a jump ring.

Tip 2. Select your clasps, jump rings, crimp ends with loops, and pliers from our supplies section if needed. First, use wire cutters to cut your desired length. Next, use pliers to hold the crimp end by the round ring and feed one end of the chain into the tube. Squeeze the tube with your pliers to tightly secure the crimp end around your chain. Repeat steps to finish the other end. Lastly, attach the clasp to one of the crimp end loops by opening and closing a jump ring with pliers.
